Noel Pepin

Welcome to my Web home!I’m Noel Pepin and I invite you to be part of a different kind of dog community.

Noel Pepin Canine Behaviour Specialists – NPC – grew out of my love for teaching, and my love for dogs. For many years, my main focus was teaching humans; my hobby was training dogs. Many years ago, I decided to combine both of my interests and started Noel Pepin Canine Behaviour Specialists, a dog training School dedicated to presenting a balanced and systemic approach to dog education. I wanted to create a friendly and effective learning environment for owners and their dogs.

My background as a teacher allowed me to develop a sequenced curriculum for dogs, using motivational strategies to master clear learning goals. I used the same teaching/learning strategies successfully with my own dogs.

My dogs have achieved titles and certifications in Canadian Kennel Club Obedience and Tracking competitions. I have bred, trained, and certified multiple dogs to internationally recognized Schutzhund (IPO) titles, in tracking, obedience, and protection. I have worked in a Veterinarian’s office as a Behaviour Consultant, and have presented sessions for the RCMP Dog Section.

My greatest satisfaction, however, comes from being a teacher – now  with dog students, not human students. Working with individual pet owners to overcome problems that emerge as their dog goes from being a puppy, to an adolescent to an adult, is so rewarding. Working with group classes of puppies and young dogs, as they learn to sit, to come and to walk without pulling, still makes me excited. Seeing owners laugh and learn with their dogs brings me joy.

I feel very fortunate to be able to work with dogs and an exceptional team of training associates and assistants.  I am proud to work with the NPC team. They understand the skills and theories presented in our classes, and treat all clients with respect.  We stand by our motto, ‘Your success is our success!’

Recently, NPC expanded to include dog related products. We provide training and nutrition products we believe in; quality products which are ethically sourced and have as little impact on our environment as is possible.  Many of our products are locally manufactured. Our treats are sold in glass jars that can be reused. Our leather leashes are beautiful, functional and biodegradable. Even our dry dog food bags from ‘Open Farms’ can be returned to us for return to “TerraCycle” to be recycled.

Our mission is to provide great dog education, quality products, and friendly service. Please join us!

Sincerely, Noel
