Welcome to the Service Dog Preparation Classes, a comprehensive coaching and training program designed for clients who aspire to certify their dogs as BC Service Dogs. These classes offer opportunities to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to challenge the BC I institute of Justice Service Dog Certification.
The Service Dog certification process, administered by the Justice Institute of BC, sets the standard for Service Dogs in the region. To attain the ‘Service Dog’ designation, dogs must demonstrate mastery of 40 specific obedience behaviours.. Once awarded this designation, these dogs are allowed to accompany their owners in commercial buildings throughout British Columbia.
Our classes provide a professional and supportive environment where small groups of 5 or 6 dogs and their owners can train together. By fostering a collaborative setting, participants benefit from shared experiences and insights. Some owners will choose to further challenge themselves by undertaking the Justice Institute Service Dog Tests, ensuring their dogs’ readiness for real-world scenarios. For others, the satisfaction lies in knowing their dogs have been trained to meet the highest standards expected of a Service Dog.
Join our Service Dog Preparation Classes and embark on a transformative journey that will equip you and your canine companion with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work towards Service Dog certification. Benefit from our expertise and the guidance of experienced trainers, as we strive to empower you and your dog to make a meaningful difference in your lives.
